Education to support the framework

06

Education and training on AMR and AMS is delivered at a local and national level.

Learning about AMR and AMS can be formal or informal, and line managers/supervisors should discuss learning opportunities with staff. These could include many types of learning, depending on staff role and responsibilities, for example:

  • accessing webinars and videos
  • completing learning programmes and courses (online or face-to-face)
  • taking part in experiential learning, getting “hands on” experience
  • networking with colleagues from other work areas
  • shadowing colleagues at work
  • attending conferences.

National learning resources to support the framework can be accessed via the Turas Learn platform. In addition, learners should check if local learning is available.

Managers and organisations are responsible to assess and ensure that staff are competent.

National resources on antimicrobial resistance and stewardship

A gap analysis of the existing national learning provision has been undertaken. The content of the current resources will be reviewed and closely aligned to this framework.

For further information and an up-to-date list for all domains, please check the Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship Zone on Turas Learn.
