Practitioners at level 6 require a critical understanding of detailed theoretical and practical knowledge within their field and/or have management or leadership responsibilities. They demonstrate initiative and are creative in finding solutions to problems. Skin Surgery: Is not a requirement of all level 6 Dermatology posts. Performing skin surgery alone does not determine the level of practise demonstrated by the practitioner. If performing skin surgery is part of a job description, then following competencies should be considered.

It is however expected that Level 6 nurses working within dermatology will have an awareness of these conditions and recognise when to escalate concerns. |
